MultiVersus Introduces 2 New Iconic Characters and Explores Villainous Themes before Relaunch

MultiVersus Adds Villains to the Roster

In its first full season, MultiVersus is mixing things up by introducing renowned villains as playable characters. Fans can enjoy playing as Jason Vorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise and Agent Smith from The Matrix.

The MultiVersus roster already includes well-known figures such as Batman, Bugs Bunny, LeBron James, and Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark. Jason Vorhees and Agent Smith will surely bring interest to the game.

The roster for MultiVersus stood together.

Previously, the MultiVersus roster mostly consisted of heroic heroes, with only a few villains making appearances. However, when the first season premieres on May 28, this dynamic will shift.

MultiVersus‘ launch trailer provides a glimpse of the excitement to come. The trailer begins with a conflict between familiar characters, which is cut short by the arrival of The Joker, voiced by Mark Hamill. The action then shifts to a new arena, with clashes between additional characters.

The trailer also shows a four-person Wonder Woman frenzy, revealing new skins for the DC superhero. The heroes band together to confront the Joker, who sits on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. Just when things look hopeless, Jason Vorhees and Agent Smith appear as backup.

At the end of the trailer, four more summoning lights appear, implying that more characters will join the roster throughout season one.

While the focus of the first season appears to be villains, MultiVersus has already teased other characters, such as the Powerpuff Girls. Fans may expect an intriguing combination of heroes and villains to battle it out in this epic crossover game.

Eagle-eyed fans on social media have also spotted various Easter eggs in the trailer, suggesting the inclusion of additional characters. Easter eggs include a Teen Titans stage, Aquaman’s trident, Octi from PowerPuff Girls, and a broomstick emerging from the Warner Water Tower.

The appearance of Mojo Jojo and Him from the PowerPuff Girls in the teaser suggests that they may be among the final four yet-to-be-announced characters. Fans have also detected a Green Lantern cell in the Teen Titans Tower, indicating that there will be more surprises in store.
