All Judy’s Quests in Cyberpunk 2077

Judy Álvarez’s Questline in Cyberpunk 2077

If you’re playing Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll come across a variety of interesting characters in Night City, but Judy Álvarez is a standout. Not only does she play a crucial role in the main storyline, but she’s also the first romantic option you encounter. Building a good relationship with her is easy if you pay attention to the context clues. However, it’s important to note that she will only pursue a romantic relationship with V if they have a feminine voice and body type. Regardless of romance, she is a valuable ally and her questline is worth exploring for any mercenary.

Judy Álvarez has more quests than any other character in the game, including the fixers in Night City. Below, you’ll find a breakdown of each quest in the order they progress. This includes starting conditions and optimal choices.

The Information

The Information is one of the first quests you’ll encounter in the early hours of Cyberpunk 2077. It’s given to you by Dex Deshawn, the ill-fated fixer. This quest introduces you to both Evelyn Parker, the client for a major heist, and Judy herself. Since this quest serves as a tutorial for the braindance investigation mechanic, there are no significant choices or ways to deviate from the main objective.

Automatic Love

After the initial heist, you’ll pick up the Automatic Love quest to investigate a cure for your condition. This quest involves tracking down Judy to gather information on Evelyn. Judy will ask you to call her with updates after you investigate the Clouds club. It’s advisable to do so in order to maintain a good relationship with her.

The Space In Between

The Space In Between follows directly after Automatic Love. In this quest, you’ll follow up on a lead from the Clouds club at a back alley ripperdoc clinic. Judy will be present regardless of whether you called her or not, but she may have some choice words for you if you didn’t. Your treatment of the ripperdoc Fingers during the interrogation won’t impact your relationship with Judy, but it’s justifiable to be a little rough with him for the way he treated Evelyn.

Disasterpiece

Disasterpiece picks up right after Automatic Love as you continue to pursue leads. The braindance investigation mechanic is utilized again, and you eventually narrow down Evelyn’s location to an abandoned power plant. The majority of this quest involves a rescue mission with Judy by your side. When you find Evelyn, it’s best not to pressure her for information immediately to avoid angering Judy. Regardless, Evelyn is taken back to Judy’s apartment, and the next quest begins.

Double Life

Double Life is another short quest that focuses on investigating two braindances extracted from Evelyn. With Judy’s assistance, you’ll discover that the reclusive netrunner gang, the Voodoo Boys, are indirectly involved in the heist. This leads you to Pacifica to follow this thread and potentially unlock the Phantom Liberty questline.

These quests mark the end of Judy’s involvement in the main story. However, her questline continues through a series of side quests. If you’re interested in romancing Judy or deepening your connection with her, it’s important not to ignore the following quests.

Both Sides, Now

A few days after Double Life, Judy will call you to come over for a meeting, providing few details over the phone. While this quest is short and primarily consists of an extended cutscene, it’s heartbreaking to witness Evelyn’s battle with mental trauma, leading Judy to feel lost and directionless.

Ex-Factor

A few days later, Judy calls you in a state of anger due to Evelyn’s death and proposes a dangerous idea: taking over the Clouds club and achieving independence from its Tyger Claw owners with the help of Maiko Maeda, the de facto manager. You can choose to accept or deny Judy’s request, but turning her down will end the questline and any chance of romance. Regardless of your decision, the meeting with Maiko doesn’t go well, and you and Judy are dismissed under threat of death.

If you spared Woodman during Automatic Love, Judy will ask you to kill him as retribution for Evelyn. To please Judy, it’s recommended to agree to this request, as the fight isn’t overly difficult.

Talkin’ ’bout a Revolution

A few days after Ex-Factor, Judy contacts you with good news. Maiko is now on board with the plan to take over Clouds and has been swayed by a program that turns the workers into lethal combatants. You’ll be invited to Maiko’s apartment to witness the tech in action and discuss the plan. You will have one last chance to opt out, but if you continue, the moment of truth is upon you.

Finally, after a few more days, it’s time for the assault on Clouds. Your task is to infiltrate a meeting between the Tyger Claw bosses and inform them that the club is under new management. However, things take a turn when Maiko reveals her alternative plan of taking over Clouds herself, still under the Tyger Claws’ control. At this point, you have the choice to help Maiko or follow Judy’s plan for independence. If you’re focused on Judy and the romantic relationship, choose the latter option. Judy may be angry at first, but it won’t last long.

Pyramid Song

Pyramid Song is the culmination of everything you’ve worked towards. In this quest, you’ll delve into Judy’s backstory and solidify your romance, assuming you haven’t angered her earlier in the questline. It’s a heartfelt exploration of the life Judy left behind for Night City. If you’ve followed the steps outlined here, you’ll have the opportunity to romance Judy. If not, she’ll leave Night City behind, but you’ll still have a treasure trove of rewards, including an extra apartment.

It’s worth mentioning that if you’ve romanced Judy, she will appear in the epilogue based on the ending you’ve chosen. Judy is a character that feels remarkably real in a city full of them, and if things don’t go as planned, there are always other options available.
