TNC Pro Team Forms Another Dota 2 Lineup

TNC Pro Team, a major esports organization in the Philippines, is introducing a new team called TNC Tiger. This team will run alongside their existing squad for Dota 2. They have revealed a new logo for TNC Tiger, which features an orange phoenix just like the one on TNC’s banner. The announcement was made on their Facebook page dedicated to TNC Tiger. The original roster, now led by Carlo “Kuku” Palad, will be renamed TNC Phoenix.

The teaser trailer for TNC Tiger showcases Theeban “1437” Siva, who was previously the captain of TNC during the second half of the 2016-2017 Dota 2 competitive season. Under his leadership, TNC achieved impressive results, reaching the grand finals of the StarLadder i-League Invitational against Team Liquid, securing second place at Mars Dota 2 League Macau, and coming in third at Galaxy Battles 2017.

While 1437 officially left TNC two months ago after the team expressed a desire to return to an all-Filipino squad, it seems that the organization had other plans for him. It appears that he may not have actually left TNC after all.

During an interview on Reddit, 1437 stated, “It’s been a rough month, especially with how things ended at TNC Phoenix and putting together this new team—but I’m really looking forward to the brighter future.”

The remaining four slots in the TNC Tiger roster are still vacant. 1437 mentioned that the full lineup will be announced in the upcoming days. He also confirmed that TNC Tiger will be based in Southeast Asia but will function as an “international team.”

If TNC Tiger can assemble the right mix of players, the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene will become even more competitive. With the presence of strong teams like Mineski, Fnatic, and TNC Phoenix, there will be intense competition for Pro Circuit qualifier spots.
