Fortnite: Battle Royale’s New Hunting Rifle Gets Upcoming Updates

Upcoming Changes to Fortnite’s Hunting Rifle

The Hunting Rifle in Fortnite: Battle Royale will soon undergo some changes in terms of how it is aimed and fired.

A Reddit user named Squop recently shared a GIF that highlighted issues with the Hunting Rifle. This caught the attention of Eric Williamson, the lead systems designer at Epic Games, who confirmed the problems.

According to Williamson, there are three main problems with the Hunting Rifle as it currently stands. However, all of these issues are expected to be resolved in the next update.

“The Hunting Rifle is supposed to have first-shot accuracy when aiming,” said Williamson. “Unfortunately, this value was not set correctly, which is the biggest issue. It will now be enabled. Additionally, the accuracy reticle UI does not match the actual accuracy, so it will be adjusted to reflect the true accuracy. Lastly, the aiming accuracy value was set too low due to the previous issue. This will also be corrected, resulting in more accurate aiming in cases where first-shot accuracy is not available.”

Until the update is released, players will have to cope with a slightly inconsistent weapon that may not perform as expected. The next game update is anticipated to arrive this week, usually on Thursday mornings.
