Record-breaking viewership for PGL Copenhagen EU RMRs intensifies anticipation for CS2's inaugural Major

Last week’s European RMRs for the Counter-Strike 2’s first Major have surpassed all expectations, shattering previous viewership records. The numbers reveal an astonishing rise in concurrent viewership and total watch hours, surpassing even the BLAST Paris Major from last April.

According to Esports Charts, the PGL Copenhagen Major RMRs reached a peak concurrent viewership of 480,590. This figure is over 300,000 viewers more than the previous record set by the BLAST Paris Major. It’s worth noting that this count is even higher than tier one event playoff matches, such as IEM Katowice’s quarter- and semi-finals, which typically attract around half a million viewers.
