kNg officially joins Immortals following successful trial

Immortals Welcomes kNg as Permanent Addition to Roster

Vito “kNg” Giuseppe has joined the Immortals roster permanently after his outstanding performances at the PGL Major. The organization made the decision to keep him on the team, as announced on their website.

Transition from Red Reserve to Immortals

KNg was brought onto the Immortals roster from Red Reserve, replacing Lincoln “fnx” Lau who was moved to the inactive lineup in May. Fnx, known for his success with SK Gaming and Immortals, faced internal issues that affected his in-game performance, according to the organization. Immortals’ coach, Rafael “zakk” Fernandes, temporarily filled the vacant spot until kNg began his trial period in May.

Quick Assimilation and Role in the Team

KNg quickly adapted to the Brazilian team’s structure, despite not fitting the previous lurker role filled by fnx. He took on the position of secondary AWPer behind Henrique “HEN1” Teles and played a crucial role in anchoring sites mid-execute.

Proven Success and Resilience

The trial period for kNg over two months proved to be beneficial for the Immortals team. They showed gradual improvement in tournaments such as DreamHack Summer and the PGL Major, achieving top four and top two placements, respectively. KNg’s presence prevented their performance from deteriorating prior to the PGL Major Offline Qualifier. The team also defied critics who doubted their performance at the Major by outlasting renowned teams like Virtus Pro and Natus Vincere.

A New Chapter for Brazilian Counter-Strike

Immortals has set the stage for a new era in Brazilian Counter-Strike with the addition of kNg, who is considered an invaluable asset to the team.
