Final Rankings for ESEA Season 23 Global Challenge

The Weekend of Exciting Counter-Strike Matches

Over the past few days, eight teams from around the world came together for a thrilling weekend of Counter-Strike action. These teams, as mentioned in our event preview, are all ready for their moment in the spotlight. The eight teams are:

– Rogue
– LDLC
– Kinguin
– Team SoloMid
– Rush
– Muffin Lightning
– Tainted Minds
– Bravado

North America’s Disappointing Performance

Unfortunately, North American teams had a disappointing performance in the tournament. TSM and Rush both failed to win a single map in their respective groups. Muffin Lightning, the third North American team, made it further but was defeated by the Aussies from Tainted Minds with a score of 2-1.

The Rise of LDLC, Rogue, Tainted Minds, and Team Kinguin

Bravado, the South African team, put up a good fight but ultimately lost to Rogue in a best-of-three match. This meant that LDLC, Rogue, Tainted Minds, and Team Kinguin advanced to the playoffs.

LDLC’s Victory

LDLC had a great performance against Tainted Minds, winning 2-0. The first map, Train, was an easy task for LDLC with a score of 16-8. However, Overpass was more challenging for them. Tainted Minds took a commanding 11-4 lead in the first half. But LDLC’s CT side was almost flawless, and they managed to win the second map with a score of 16-14.

Rogue’s Dominance

In the second semifinal, Rogue faced off against the Polish team Kinguin. TENZKI and glace led their Danish-Bulgarian mix team to a solid 2-0 victory over the Poles, with scores of 16-12 and 16-9. The maps were heavily in favor of Rogue.

Rogue’s Stomping Victory

The final, which should have been a close match, turned out to be a one-sided victory for Rogue. They won the first game against LDLC 16-2 on Dust 2. Train, one of LDLC’s better maps, seemed promising for them, but Rogue dominated the T-side with a 9-1 lead. LDLC made a comeback but eventually lost in overtime with a stunning 22-18 score. Rogue secured a 2-0 victory.

Final Placings

– First – Rogue
– Second – LDLC
– Third/Fourth – Tainted Minds
– Third/Fourth – Kinguin
– Fifth/Sixth – Bravado
– Fifth/Sixth – Muffin Lightning

Congratulations to Rogue for their championship win! This could be the start of their rise to the top.
