CS2 region endures disastrous RMR journey, fails to qualify for first Major in 6 years

No Australian Team at Upcoming Counter-Strike Major

The upcoming Counter-Strike Major will be the first since PGL Major Kraków 2017 to not feature an Australian team. Grayhound, who had a disappointing run, failed to qualify through the Asia-Pacific RMR on Feb. 28.

Grayhound’s Journey in the RMR

In their RMR run, Grayhound faced challenges and triumphs. They dropped to the lower bracket on Feb. 26 and managed to secure victories against JiJieHao and ATOX. However, their journey ended when they clashed with Lynn Vision, a Chinese team. Despite winning the first map, Vertigo, Grayhound couldn’t overcome Lynn Vision. This loss allowed TheMongolz to finish their sweep of the RMR and secure the first spot at the Major.
