Shopping Carts Coming Soon to Fortnite
Fortnite players will soon have a new item to look forward to: Shopping Carts. According to the in-game news tab, the much-anticipated carts will be available in the game. While the in-game message doesn’t provide much information, it hints that players will be able to ride these carts into battle either alone or with a buddy.
Speculation and Rumors
Based on this brief message, it seems likely that players will have the ability to ride the Shopping Carts in Fortnite. However, this can only be considered as speculation at this point. Rumors about the Shopping Carts started circulating in April when sound files suggesting their inclusion were datamined by YouTuber DieBuddiesZocken.
A New Form of Transportation
If the rumors are true, the addition of Shopping Carts would mark the first “vehicle” in Fortnite. Unlike other battle royale games, Fortnite lacks alternate means of transportation, except for the Jump Pad. Recently, Jetpacks were introduced, and the inclusion of Shopping Carts could follow the trend of Epic Games providing different ways for players to explore the Fortnite map.
Unsure What to Expect
On the other hand, there are also possibilities for the Shopping Carts beyond just riding them. For instance, players might have the option to use them as storage for extra items or weapons.
