Fortnite Funeral Turns Deadly
The recent release of Fortnite’s 5.1 update included a somber addition: a gravestone in honor of Chappadoodle, a player who tragically lost their life during a rescue attempt. The Fortnite subreddit community decided to hold a funeral procession, but things quickly took a turn for the worse.
A Funeral Interrupted
Players gathered at the designated monument location on the Oceanic servers in an attempt to avoid disruptions. However, it didn’t take long for chaos to ensue. One user, thederpytroller, dressed as a pirate, decided to test the durability of the gravestone. Much to everyone’s surprise, thederpytroller discovered that it could be destroyed.
Instant Karma Strikes Back
A video titled “Killer at Chappadoodle’s Funeral gets Instant Karma” captured the retaliation that followed. Thederpytroller met the same fate as Chappadoodle, losing their life in the process. Back on Reddit, thederpytroller claimed it was an accident and expressed disbelief at the gravestone’s destructibility. Commenters were shocked at how swiftly justice was served.
A Tragic Rescue Attempt
The original Chappadoodle clip went viral, depicting streamer Mr Muselk’s ill-fated rescue attempt. While trying to save Chappadoodle, a golf cart lost control and sent them tumbling into the ocean. To prevent future tragedies, tires have been added to the area to ensure the safety of players.
