Epic Teases New Submachine Gun for Fortnite: Battle Royale
Epic Games has announced that a new submachine gun will be added to Fortnite: Battle Royale, and it may arrive as early as tomorrow. The in-game message reveals that this weapon will have a fast rate of fire and improved mobility.
Scheduled to be the fourth weapon in the submachine gun category, joining the Tactical Submachine Gun, Supressed Submachine Gun, and the recent addition of the Drum Gun, this upcoming SMG is expected to have an even quicker fire rate. Players have increasingly turned to submachine guns for their quick fire rate, making it a popular choice alongside shotguns in close-quarters combat.
This new submachine gun, simply titled Submachine Gun, appears to be similar to the Supressed Submachine Gun, but without the suppressor. Its resemblance can be seen in the teaser image.
As part of the v5.0 content update, Epic Games will release the new submachine gun tomorrow at 7am CT. It is common for Epic Games to add content following an initial teaser, so players can expect the new SMG to be a part of this update.
