CS:GO Superstar Aims to Showcase His Football Talent in Upcoming Sidemen Charity Match

S1mple Expresses Interest in Participating in Sidemen Charity Soccer Match

S1mple, widely regarded as the best CS:GO player of all time, has expressed his desire to play in the next Sidemen Charity Soccer Match. The Ukrainian superstar hopes to demonstrate his skills both on the virtual battlefield and on the soccer field.

In a tweet posted on September 11th, S1mple made his request to be included in the next edition of the Sidemen Charity Match. The fifth edition of the event took place recently and featured popular content creators such as Mr. Beast, xQc, IShowSpeed, and Kai Cenat representing the YouTube All-Stars against Sidemen FC.

Despite the efforts of the YouTube All-Stars, they ended up losing the match 8-5, with xQc struggling as a goalkeeper. S1mple is confident that he can make a significant impact in the game and has even promised to score two goals if he receives an invitation for the next edition, which could prove beneficial for the YouTube All-Stars.

The 2023 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match was a resounding success in terms of viewership and fundraising. It reached a peak of over 2.7 million concurrent viewers, surpassing the viewership record set by the 2022 edition, which had a peak of just over 2.5 million viewers. The event managed to raise over $3 million for charity, and donations are still open at the time of writing.

While it remains uncertain whether s1mple will be invited to the 2024 edition of the Sidemen Charity Match, former CS:GO pro turned analyst Jacob “Pimp” Winneche has suggested that the Counter-Strike community organize a similar event in Europe, featuring Team s1mple and Team pashaBiceps.

The idea proposed by Pimp is reminiscent of a past event in 2017 when SK Gaming and Virtus Pro faced off in a soccer match. The SK squad, featuring players like FalleN, coldzera, and fer, emerged victorious with a close score of 5-4. Interestingly, SK’s co-founder Benjamin “Kane” Reichert, who was formerly a professional soccer player, played a crucial role in the team’s victory.
