Fnatic Bounces Back after Loss to LOUD in VALORANT Champions
Fnatic, the popular esports team, has regained their form after a recent defeat in the VALORANT Champions tournament. The team was eliminated by LOUD in the lower bracket, but they came back strong, defeating their EMEA rivals, FUT Esports, to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.
Defeat Against LOUD Motivates Fnatic
The loss to LOUD served as a wake-up call for Fnatic. According to their in-game leader, Jake “Boaster” Howlett, the defeat helped the team to reset their mental focus for the remainder of the tournament. Boaster believes that some important strategies were forgotten, which led to their loss against LOUD. However, he is confident that they have learned from their mistakes and it won’t happen again.
Impressive Performance Against FUT Esports
In their match against FUT Esports, Fnatic displayed a much-improved performance. They dominated on the maps Split and Haven, winning with scorelines of 13-5 and 13-9, respectively. Boaster’s individual performance also improved, with a significantly lower negative kill count compared to the match against LOUD. Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov also stepped up, improving his rating from the bottom of the team’s leaderboard to second place, just behind Turkish superstar Emir “Alfajer” Ali Beder.
“I think it’s nice for us to get a loss, because, unfortunately, when you win you don’t look at the map as seriously. But when you lose, you’re really looking at the map and why we actually lost rounds and stuff. So yeah, I’m happy we lost,” said Boaster during the press conference.
Next Steps for Fnatic
Fnatic’s journey in the Champions lower bracket continues as they aim for their third trophy of the year. They will face the winner of the knockout match between Edward Gaming and BiliBili Gaming.
