G2 Esports has officially entered the rapidly growing women’s VALORANT scene by signing the majority of the former XSET CS:GO roster, now known as G2 Gozen.
New Roster and Transition from CS:GO
The new G2 Gozen roster includes Julia “juliano” Kiran, Michaela “mimi” Lintrup, Petra “Petra” Stoker, Zainab “zAAz” Turkie, and Anja “aNNja” Vasalic. Except for aNNja, all of the G2 players recently switched from CS:GO after competing under the XSET organization for most of 2021.

Between stints with Team Secret, Beşiktaş Esports, and eventually XSET, this four-woman core established itself as one of the top female teams in CS:GO, winning multiple trophies in all-female events. They left XSET last month and announced their move to VALORANT in search of a new organization to represent them.
Playing as The Originals in the first EMEA Game Changers event, they were joined by aNNja, who had recently been benched by Rix.GG Lightning. The Originals reached the semifinals but lost to the eventual champions Tenstar Nova. According to VLR.gg, aNNja had the highest ACS and KD of all players in the tournament, scoring 325.1 and 1.98 respectively on Jett and Raze.
Upcoming Competitions
The newly signed G2 women’s roster is expected to compete in the qualifiers for the second EMEA Game Changers event, which begins on October 25.
