Prince Reflects on Missed Pentakill in LCS Debut
FlyQuest AD carry Prince recently reviewed the VOD of his LCS debut game against Team Liquid, focusing on his near-pentakill in the final moments of the match.
As the game reached its later stages, Prince was wreaking havoc on Liquid’s lineup as his FlyQuest teammates pushed towards the enemy base. In a display of skill, Prince secured a quadra kill, just one takedown away from achieving a penta in his first LCS game.
Unfortunately, Prince faced a challenge as Liquid’s top laner Summit remained hidden in the far corner of his fountain, the sole surviving player on the opposing team. FlyQuest attempted a coordinated fountain dive, but it ended in three quick deaths and no pentakills. Impact, Spica, and eventually Prince himself all fell victim to the fountain, while Winsome, the support player, auto attacked the Nexus with the minions in a last-ditch effort to secure victory.
Prince’s Playful Critique of Winsome
During his VOD review, Prince playfully questioned his support player, Winsome. He wondered why Winsome didn’t initiate the dive. In a humorous tone, Prince mentioned that if it were a best-of-three series in the LCK, he would consider changing supports. He even jokingly called out Winsome, asking if he was watching.
In an ironic twist of fate, FlyQuest will indeed be replacing Winsome as their support player in the near future. Regular starter Eyla, who had been dealing with visa complications, is set to return to the LCS soon. However, Winsome performed well in FlyQuest’s opening game, maintaining a deathless KDA of 0/0/11. This achievement would not have been possible if he had taken the risk of diving Liquid’s fountain.
Looking Ahead for FlyQuest
FlyQuest aims to end the first week of the 2023 LCS Spring Split on a high note, as they face Dignitas later today in search of another victory.
