Jesiz becomes an assistant coach for Misfits

Jesse “Jesiz” Le to Coach Misfits in the 2018 EU LCS Summer Split

Former Origen and Fnatic support player, Jesse “Jesiz” Le, has announced that he will be the new strategic coach for Misfits in the upcoming 2018 EU LCS Summer Split. Jesiz will also serve as a substitute support player for the team.

Jesiz’s appointment comes after former Misfits coach Aleski “Hiiva” Kaikkonen announced on Twitter that he is now a free agent. Hiiva joined Misfits in 2017 after playing for Origen in the previous EU LCS season.

Jesiz is not new to coaching, as he previously worked as an analyst and coach for Team Dignitas and Immortals from 2015 to 2016. He then joined Fnatic as their main support player and helped the team qualify for Worlds 2017. Fnatic performed well in the tournament, reaching the quarterfinals before being eliminated by Royal Never Give Up.

In December 2017, Jesiz was replaced by current Fnatic support player Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov. He most recently joined Origen on loan from Fnatic, where he helped them win the first EU Masters event, defeating IlluminaR Gaming in the finals.

The 2018 EU LCS Summer Split will begin in a few weeks, following the conclusion of the Mid-Season Invitational on May 20. Jesiz will have the opportunity to help Misfits secure a second-consecutive World Championship appearance.
