ZETA DIVISION finalizes roster for VCT 2023

ZETA DIVISION Locks in Roster for VALORANT 2023 Season

ZETA DIVISION, the most successful team in Japanese VALORANT, has finalized its roster for the upcoming year.

The organization has made minimal changes heading into VCT 2023. ZETA has retained its core group of players, including in-game leader Laz, as well as Dep, TENNN, crow, and SugarZ3ro. Barce has been added as a substitute.

ZETA has also retained its coaching staff, JUNiOR and XQQ, along with analyst gya9.

The Japanese team was one of the region’s few successful squads in 2022. They emerged victorious in VCT Stage One in Japan, defeating Crazy Raccoon 3-1 in the finals, securing a spot in Stage One Masters in Reykjavik. In Iceland, they had a remarkable run, finishing third after losing to OpTic Gaming 0-3 in the lower bracket final.

Although ZETA failed to qualify for Stage Two Masters in Copenhagen, they were recognized as the top team in their region when they secured a spot in the VALORANT Champions as the Japanese representative through circuit points. In Istanbul, they put up a strong fight but lost twice to the eventual champions, LOUD, in Group B, resulting in a ninth to 12th place finish in the tournament.

ZETA will kick off its 2023 season with the VCT Kickoff Tournament, scheduled to begin on February 14, 2023. They will compete against other partnered teams from around the world.
