Yoru’s malfunctioning Fakeout causes ear discomfort and frame drops in VALORANT

Yoru’s Fakeout Ability Has a Major Bug in VALORANT Episode Six

In the latest update of VALORANT Episode Six, a new bug has been discovered with Yoru’s Fakeout ability. This bug has caught the attention of players, although it was likely an unintended addition.

Multiple players using Yoru on the new patch have noticed a bug affecting his Fakeout ability. This bug is affecting entire lobbies, causing a loud and jarring sound, along with a strange glitch in the game.

Several posts on the VALORANT subreddit showcase a new visual bug when enemy players use the Fakeout decoy. In this bug, Yoru glitches and slowly disintegrates into a rectangular polygon that can pass through walls and geometry. The process is accompanied by a crashing sound effect that persists afterwards.

One user who encountered this bug reported that it caused everyone’s FPS to drop to around 30. Furthermore, the lingering sound effect is so loud that it makes it nearly impossible to hear other in-game abilities or gunfire. The sound effect usually persists until the end of the round. Although the video clips shared on the VALORANT subreddit feature the bug on the Split map, users have commented that it’s occurring on other maps as well.

Undoubtedly, this game-breaking bug that has significant visual and audio effects on gameplay needs to be addressed promptly. One potential solution could be disabling Yoru until the issue is resolved. Apart from this bug, Episode Six has already encountered a few other launch issues, such as the absence of the Lotus-only queue and competitive players not receiving their ranked gun buddies.
