XSET reinforces VALORANT presence, secures C9 White star duo for VCT Game Changers roster

XSET Purple Looks to Rebuild with Bob Tran and Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl for 2023 VALORANT Game Changers Season

XSET Purple is set to make significant changes for the upcoming 2023 VALORANT Game Changers season, as confirmed by multiple sources. It has been revealed that the team plans to rebuild its roster around Bob Tran and Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl, two renowned players in the esports scene.

Bob Tran’s Success with Cloud9 White

Bob Tran, who recently joined Cloud9 White in June 2022, has had a remarkable journey in the world of competitive gaming. Previously a part of the Soniqs core for around two years, Bob made an immediate impact with Cloud9 White. During her tenure with the team, they clinched two consecutive Game Changers North American titles in dominant fashion.

Cloud9 White entered the Game Changers Championship in Berlin as the top contenders for the trophy. Unfortunately, losses to G2 Gozen and Shopify Rebellion dashed their hopes of becoming champions.

Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl’s Legacy with Cloud9 White

Katja “katsumi” Pfahnl has been an integral part of Cloud9 White’s success since their days as MAJKL. Partnering with the core members of Cloud9 White, she contributed to an unprecedented winning streak of six consecutive Game Changers titles in North America. However, the team faced a setback at the first international LAN event, finishing in fourth place.

XSET Purple’s Journey and Future Plans

In contrast to the achievements of Bob Tran and katsumi, XSET Purple had a challenging run in the 2022 Game Changers season. They struggled to establish themselves as strong contenders, with only one qualification for the main event and a finish in a tie for sixth place.

With the recent roster changes, XSET Purple aims to compete against top teams like Shopify Rebellion and VersionX to secure the title of North America’s best.
