XSET Eyes Potential CS:GO Comeback amidst Ongoing VALORANT Wage Controversy

North American esports organization XSET is on the lookout for a CS:GO roster. This comes despite ongoing claims that the organization failed to pay its VALORANT esports division for several months. Four players and a coach from the organization filed cases against XSET a month ago, alleging that they were not paid their share of the revenue from the Champions 2022 VALORANT skin bundle. These cases were filed in California in August.

According to the lawsuits, XSET did not fulfill its promise to share 50% of the merchandising revenue obtained through the Champions 2022 skin bundle with its team members. Despite these unresolved claims, XSET is now making moves to return to CS:GO and Counter-Strike 2 with a female playing roster.

In 2020, XSET previously had a female CS:GO roster which achieved decent results. The roster included notable players such as Julia “juliano” Kiran and Michaela “mimi” Lintrup, who have since become prominent figures in the VALORANT esports scene. Mimi and Juliano’s CS:GO squad emerged victorious in the Dreamhack Showdown Winter 2020 Europe event, only dropping two maps throughout the tournament. However, the squad disbanded shortly after.

At the time, XSET attributed the disbandment to challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly travel restrictions that affected esports trips. has reached out to XSET officials for more information on these recent developments.
