Will VALORANT be available on mobile devices?

VALORANT Mobile: A Future Release on the Horizon

In recent years, developers of first-person shooter games have fully embraced the mobile platform. Titles like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and PUBG have thrived in the highly competitive market.

VALORANT, one of the latest shooters to leave its mark, is currently exclusive to PC. However, this doesn’t mean that a mobile version isn’t in the works.

Riot Games has shown significant interest in mobile gaming, already releasing games on handheld devices such as Teamfight Tactics in March 2020 and Wild Rift in North America.

Similar to League of Legends, VALORANT is optimized to run on a wide range of PC hardware, allowing global accessibility. This suggests that creating a mobile version of the game is a possibility.

By collaborating with China’s Tencent, as it did with Wild Rift, Riot Games can leverage their resources and fan base to bring VALORANT to mobile devices.

On June 2, 2021, Riot confirmed its plans to expand VALORANT to mobile. Anna Donlon, VALORANT’s executive producer, expressed excitement, stating, “To see our growing player community recognize and appreciate what we’re trying to do with VALORANT is beyond what we could’ve expected, and we’re thrilled to soon offer the same competitive VALORANT experience to even more global players.”

A specific release date for VALORANT Mobile has yet to be announced. However, players can expect its launch within the next year.
