Why would you rely on trolls in ranked when one of the world’s top VALORANT players can’t carry them?

Cloud9’s yay Experiences Frustration with AFK Players in Brazil Ranked Match

In a recent ranked match in Brazil, Cloud9’s yay faced a challenging situation when two players on his team were AFK, leading to their defeat. This is a common problem that many casual players encounter while playing VALORANT.

Earlier this month, yay was seen losing 0-12 on Brazil’s ranked server. Based on his reaction, it can be assumed that his team did not make a comeback in the second half. A Twitter user who spotted yay commented, “Brazilian ranked does not forgive,” indicating that even professional players struggle to perform well in ranked matches in Brazil. Yay expressed his frustration by tweeting, “two AFK players,” accompanied by a crying emoji.

Despite playing with one of the best VALORANT players in the world, yay’s teammates going AFK proved to be too much to overcome. This loss highlights the fact that even highly skilled professionals cannot make a significant difference if they are outnumbered in a three-vs-five situation.

Yay, along with other professional players from around the globe, has traveled to Brazil to participate in the VCT LOCK//IN tournament in São Paulo. This VALORANT tournament boasts a prize pool of $500,000 and serves as the inaugural competition for all 30 partnered teams, which includes two Chinese squads as well.

Following the disappointing performance on Brazil’s ranked server, yay might consider focusing on scrimming and playing deathmatch while waiting for VCT LOCK//IN to commence. The tournament is scheduled to take place from February 13 to March 4 and features a single-elimination bracket format with a focus on matches between teams from different regions.
