Why Holding This Sneaky Split Angle Can Lead to Killing Pros: Insights from a VALORANT Coach

New VALORANT Off-Angle on Split for A Site

If you’re a VALORANT player looking to gain an advantage on Split’s A site, then you’re in luck. One of the most popular VALORANT coaches on YouTube, Woohoojin, has just revealed a powerful off-angle that can give attackers an easy kill on their A pushes.

In a recent VOD review video, Woohoojin highlighted a large potted plant located in the far lower right corner of A lobby. By hopping on top of the plant and peeking down the furthest left corner, attackers can quickly spot enemies and secure kills.

This off-angle is rarely used, especially in solo queue, making it highly effective across all skill levels.

Woohoojin emphasized the power of this strategy, stating, “In solo queue, this is just a free kill. Just hop on the plant and take out your opponent. Nobody expects it.” He even mentioned having successfully eliminated professional players using this angle.

Here’s the exact location in the game:

It’s a clever off-angle that can surprise opponents and throw off their crosshair placement due to the added height advantage. However, keep in mind that some opponents may also be aware of this strategy and use it against you.

To counter this, Woohoojin advises caution when pushing A main as a defender. Aggressively swinging into A main can put you at a disadvantage if an enemy is on the A lobby plant. Instead, he suggests using jump or jiggle peeking to gather information without exposing yourself too much.

“In general, this is not something you should peek at all on this map,” Woohoojin explained. “You need to jump spot if you’re going to. If the enemy is on the flower pot, you’ll be taken out.”
