Riot Games Announces Dates for VALORANT Challengers Stage of Champions Tour 2021
Riot Games recently shared the dates for the Challengers stage of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021. This announcement was made during the Episode Two “Hangout Stream” on Jan. 11. The Challengers stage will provide an opportunity for teams to compete in regional events and secure a spot in a Masters tournament.
Every Challengers event will have an open qualifier system, giving almost any team a chance to compete against the world’s best.
The regional Challengers events will allow the top teams from each region to advance to an international Masters event, generating thrilling regional storylines. Throughout the year, there will be three Masters events, with the top 16 teams progressing to the Champions event.
The Champions Tour serves as the first official VALORANT international competition. The winning team will be crowned world champion. The best teams from each region previously competed in the First Strike tournaments but will now face off against the world’s top squads.
Fans of VALORANT will have several opportunities to watch the best teams from each region in action during the Challengers events. The majority of the events are scheduled on separate days, making it easy for fans to keep track of all the excitement.
Here are the dates for the VALORANT Challengers Stage 01 events:
- Latin America: Jan. 26
- Brazil: Jan. 30
- Korea: Jan. 30
- North America: Feb. 3 to 7
- Southeast Asia: Feb. 5
- CIS: Feb. 11
- Europe: Feb. 11
- Japan: TBA
- Midde East/North Africa: TBA
