Vivo Keyd reportedly dissolves as its VALORANT players allegedly join VCT-affiliated teams.

Vivo Keyd Announces Departure of VALORANT Quintet

Vivo Keyd has officially announced the departure of its VALORANT quintet today. Leonardo “mwzera” Serrati, Olavo “heat” Marcelo, Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen, Matheus “RgLM” Rodigoli, and Igor “RHZ” Baruti are now free agents for next year. The decision comes after the organization failed to secure one of the 10 spots in the VCT 2023 Americas league.

New Opportunities for the Former Quintet

The news of Vivo Keyd’s former quintet becoming free agents doesn’t come as a surprise as most of them are reportedly joining Brazilian organizations that have partnered with Riot Games for VCT 2023. According to Brazilian outlet The Enemy, Mwzera is close to signing with FURIA, while heat, murizzz, and RgLM are said to be on their way to MIBR. RHZ is the only former player of Vivo Keyd who hasn’t been tied to any partnered team in recent weeks.

Reflecting on their Past Achievements

Heat, murizzz, and mwzera were part of the Vivo Keyd squad that qualified for VALORANT Champions 2021. RgLM and RHZ joined the team in May 2022. However, the quintet didn’t have the best year of their careers in 2022, finishing in third place at VCT 2022 Brazil Challengers Two and fourth place at the South America Last Chance Qualifier. As a result, Vivo Keyd missed out on Champions this year.

Vivo Keyd’s Future in VALORANT

Vivo Keyd has been a prominent investor in VALORANT’s competitive scene since September 2020. However, it remains unclear if the organization plans to continue its involvement in VALORANT after not being selected for the partnership program. Reports suggest that Vivo Keyd originally intended to retain some of the players, but ultimately decided to transfer them to other teams.
