Version1’s Game Changers roster sets sights on Ascension as they usher in a new era for VALORANT

Version1 Signs Stacked Roster for VALORANT Game Changers and Challengers League

The Version1 organization is fully committed to its Game Changers division in VALORANT and has officially signed a remarkable roster that aims to dominate both the NA Game Changers scene and the NA Challengers League.

As reported by , Version1 has brought on board former Cloud9 White players Melanie “meL” Capone and Alexis Guarrasi. Additionally, the organization has added Ava “florescent” Eugene, Nicole “Noia” Tierce, and Sarah Simpson to complete the roster.

Version1 struck gold with the signings of meL and Alexis following the disbandment of the legendary C9 White roster last month. According to meL, C9 White founder Jack Etienne approached her about potentially “building a top co-ed roster for Ascension” under the C9 banner. However, Riot’s rule that partnered teams would not be allowed to have “academy” teams made that idea virtually impossible.

Since Version1 did not receive a partnership and their main roster from last year moved on to teams like Cloud9 and G2, the organization saw an opportunity to focus on this new Version1 team. They will compete in both the NA Game Changers and the NA Challengers League in 2023. The roster had already registered to participate in the first NA Challengers open qualifier, previously known as NeverDone.

While the additions of meL and Alexis from C9 White are the most high-profile, Version1 is also gaining a potential breakout star in florescent. She achieved outstanding numbers as a duelist throughout the entire NA Game Changers campaign last year.

The team will make their Version1 debut today in the NA Challengers League’s first open qualifier bracket.
