Version1 introduces a stellar Game Changers roster for VALORANT’s new era, aiming for Ascension.

Version1 Signs Stacked Roster for Future in VALORANT

Version1 is fully committed to its Game Changers division in VALORANT, as it announces the official signing of a powerhouse roster. The team aims to dominate both the NA Game Changers scene and the NA Challengers League.

According to the report by , Version1 has added the former Cloud9 White duo Melanie “meL” Capone and Alexis Guarrasi to its roster. The team also welcomes Ava “florescent” Eugene, Nicole “Noia” Tierce, and Sarah Simpson to complete the lineup.

Version1 struck gold with the signings of meL and Alexis following the disbandment of the legendary C9 White roster last month. According to meL, C9 White founder Jack Etienne approached her about potentially “building a top co-ed roster for Ascension” under the C9 banner. However, Riot’s rule that partnered teams couldn’t have “academy” teams made that idea impossible.

Since Version1 didn’t secure a partnership and most of its main roster moved on to teams like Cloud9 and G2, the organization shifted its focus to this new Version1 team. The team aims to compete in both the NA Game Changers and the NA Challengers League in 2023. Previously, the roster competed in NA Challengers open qualifier under the name NeverDone.

While the additions of meL and Alexis from C9 White are the most high profile, Version1 is also gaining a potential breakout star in florescent. Last year, she delivered extraordinary performance as a duelist in the NA Game Changers campaign.

The team will make its Version1 debut today in the NA Challengers League’s first open qualifier bracket.
