VCT LOCK//IN: Lag and Stuttering Affect Sentinels vs. Fnatic Match

The Most Anticipated Match at VCT LOCK//IN Plagued by Lag and Stuttering

The Fnatic vs. Sentinels match at VCT LOCK//IN today is highly anticipated, but fans around the world are struggling to see what’s happening due to excessive lag and stuttering.

In the first map, there were a few glitches and lags, but things got significantly worse during map two on Split. The stream lag made the match experience almost unwatchable, with constant stuttering and players seemingly teleporting on the map. The highlights shared on the official VALORANT channels also suffer from lag and stuttering.

During the first half of Split, the match broadcast took a five-minute break to fix the technical issues. The desk talent informed fans that the players on stage were not experiencing any problems. The match resumed right after the break, with commentator Brennon Hook jokingly saying he was “chewing on the cables.” However, the stuttering seemed to return after Sentinels called for a tactical timeout.

Technical issues used to be more common in previous VCT broadcasts, but the overall number of issues has decreased over time. At VCT LOCK//IN, the tech pauses have been limited and short, mostly due to player gear issues.

After the conclusion of Sentinels vs. Fnatic, the T1 vs. FURIA match will close out the first round of the Omega bracket.
