VCT Bundles Drive Frenzy: VALORANT Pros Bet Skins on Masters Matches

Pro Players Betting on VALORANT Team Bundles Before Masters Madrid

Ever since the arrival of partnered VCT team skins in the VALORANT store, pro players have been actively promoting their team’s bundles. This is especially true now, with the start of Masters Madrid right around the corner.

Friendly Wager between Opponents Heightens Excitement

As the first international VALORANT tournament of the year approaches, two opponents have made a friendly wager to guarantee at least one more bundle purchase.

A Twitter Bet between Heretics and Sentinels

Team Heretics’ Dominykas “MiniBoo” Lukaševičius called out Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, an enthusiastic Sentinels bundle salesman and a recently made permanent starter, challenging him to a bet on Twitter. If Sentinels win against Team Heretics in the opening round of the Swiss stage, MiniBoo will buy the Sentinels bundle. However, if Team Heretics emerges victorious, Zellsis has to purchase the Heretics bundle. Not surprisingly, Zellsis agreed to the wager.

The VCT team bundles for all 30 partnered teams and the three Ascension teams from each region were released less than a month ago. These in-game items have already received extensive on-screen promotion during VCT streams. Additionally, players and content creators representing these teams have gone the extra mile to promote their respective bundles.

In fact, Sentinels recently announced a $20,000 contest for fans to submit their best VALORANT clips using the Sentinels Classic skin. The clips will be judged by brand ambassador Tarik. Celebrities like Lionel Messi and Shaquille O’Neal have even advertised the bundles of teams KRU and NRG, respectively, on social media.

Furthermore, some teams have exceeded their projected sales targets. Leo Faria, the global head of VALORANT esports, mentioned during the VCT Americas Kickoff stream that certain teams “have already surpassed their minimum guarantee for the entire year in just two weeks.” Faria also stated that Riot will release bundle sale rankings soon.

As Masters Madrid approaches, the excitement around VALORANT team bundles continues to grow. With pro players investing in promoting their team’s bundles and engaging in friendly wagers, fans are eagerly supporting their favorite teams by purchasing these in-game items.
