VALORANT’s Ranked Mode to Launch Based on Patch 1.02 Stability

VALORANT’s Competitive mode Update

The release of VALORANT’s Competitive mode might be just around the corner. Game director Joe Ziegler has announced that the much-awaited ranked queue is coming soon. Patch 1.02 has already rolled out across all regions today, and if everything goes smoothly, Competitive mode will be launched tomorrow. In case there are any issues, the launch might be postponed to later in the week.

The latest patch faced an unfortunate issue that allowed players to fly around the map. Fans discovered a way to enable ghost mode, which is usually limited to custom matches for testing purposes. However, Riot was quick to fix the problem, ensuring fair gameplay for everyone.

Riot will monitor the stability of the patch in different regions to determine if it is suitable for the launch of ranked mode. Ziegler plans to update players on this progress later today.

The upcoming official competitive season will bring some changes compared to the closed beta. Riot has updated the rank iconography, addressing concerns that the previous icons were not impressive and were unclear. To avoid confusion, the top rank in VALORANT has been renamed to Radiant.

This article will be updated with the latest information from Riot later today.
