Valorant Star Commits to 4-Year Max EMEA Team Contract

VALORANT Champions Tour International League Global Contract Details Revealed

The contract details for top VCT players have been unveiled as the VALORANT Champions Tour International League Global Contract Database (GCD) is released. Now, fans can find out the length of contracts for each player.

Included in the GCD is information about the minimum and maximum contract lengths. The shortest contract is for one year, lasting through the 2023 season, while the longest is four years. However, only one player in the entire VCT EMEA league has opted for a four-year contract with a single team.

Player nAts Signs Four-Year Deal with Team Liquid

Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin, former M3C superstar and Masters Berlin 2021 winner, has signed a four-year contract with Team Liquid. This deal will keep him with the organization until 2026. Other Liquid players, such as Sayf, Redgar, and soulcas, have also signed multi-year contracts, with contract lengths ranging from three to four years. On the other hand, Jamppi is currently signed through the 2023 season only.

These signings came as part of Liquid’s roster changes following the departures of ScreaM and Nivera. Dimasick, who played for the team in the 2022 season, is still under contract but is currently listed as inactive.

Four-Year Deals Rare in EMEA and Americas Leagues

Four-year contracts are uncommon in the EMEA and Americas Leagues. In these leagues, only Mateja “qpert” Mijović of Cloud9, along with nAts, signed four-year deals. However, the Pacific League is different, as both Team Secret and ZETA DIVISION have signed all their players to four-year contracts. Several other players in the Asian league have also committed to four-year deals.

It’s important to note that nAts being under contract with Liquid for four years doesn’t guarantee he will stay with the team throughout the entire duration. According to Riot’s roster creation rulebook, he can still be traded or released.

Debut of New Liquid Lineup Announced

The revamped Liquid lineup will make its first appearance at the VCT 2023 Kickoff event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in February.
