VALORANT Community Requests More Pink Skins
While VALORANT offers a wide array of skins for players, ranging from Japanese-inspired weapons to guns with unique designs, fans have noticed a gap in their collections.
With the game approaching its two-year mark, players have started a new trend of color-coordinating their weapon libraries due to the abundance of available skin lines.
However, this trend has shed light on a notable absence in VALORANT’s skin lineup: a lack of pink weapon options, especially for exclusive and ultra skins. In response, the community has taken matters into their own hands, creating pink variants and hoping to catch Riot’s attention.
Numerous Twitter users have been editing existing skins to feature pink versions. One particularly popular post by Ralph “Ralphoki1” showcases pink variants of the Prime, Forsaken, Gaia’s Vengeance, and Reaver Vandal skins.
Inspired by Ralph’s initiative, several other users have joined in and edited additional pink variants.
User “kyafnx” has been posting pink edits of various skins for different weapon types.
The hope is that Riot will notice the trend and consider implementing these pink skins into the game.
However, Riot has previously included community creations and memes in VALORANT. This leaves open the possibility of Riot utilizing the pink skins in a similar manner to how Overwatch released a pink Mercy skin in support of Breast Cancer awareness.
The community has pointed out that Riot’s inclusion of a similar pink skin could send a powerful message, as seen in the case of Overwatch.
The absence of pink skins in VALORANT suggests that Riot may have made assumptions about the community’s preferences or the player demographics. However, the overwhelming community response has made it evident that players do want to see pink skins in the game.
