VALORANT Players Believe CS:GO’s Maps Have the Advantage for This Key Reason

The Rivalry Between CS:GO and VALORANT Reignited as Players Call for Larger Maps

The ongoing rivalry between CS:GO and VALORANT has once again become a topic of discussion among fans. This time, players are claiming that Riot Games’ maps in VALORANT are too small, preventing them from fully utilizing the movement-based abilities the game offers.

Players have expressed their desire for Riot to create larger maps in a Reddit thread on September 10. With a wide range of movement-based abilities available in VALORANT, players feel there is a need for more space to make the most of these abilities.

Some players have suggested that VALORANT maps should resemble the structure of certain CS:GO maps. However, the small size of VALORANT’s maps may be essential to maintain the delicate balance of its core gameplay elements.

Some players believe that the issue of small maps stems from the pre-round phase, where agents have time to set up equipment. While this unique element adds an interesting twist to the game, it also contributes to the smaller map size.

Players in VALORANT have access to a variety of abilities such as Stims, Blast Packs, Sprints, and teleports, and they are eager for more opportunities to use them. Some players even mentioned the idea of multi-leveled maps that could add exciting elements to gameplay, like a VALORANT version of CS:GO’s Nuke, which would particularly appeal to Jett mains.

However, not all players are in favor of larger maps in VALORANT. Some players argue that the map Breeze, which is the largest in VALORANT, already poses challenges as it requires players to engage in long-range duels to progress. Additionally, the size of the map forces players to rotate longer distances for retakes or to assist their teammates, which can be seen as a drawback by some players. The decision to expand the size of the next VALORANT map will ultimately depend on Riot’s judgment and whether they are willing to take the risk.
