VALORANT players annoyed by repetitive use of cringe agent duo names

Jett and Sage Duo: The Rise of the “Pocket Sage”

If you’ve ever encountered a Jett and Sage duo in VALORANT with catchy matching names like “His Sage” and “Her Jett,” you may already have an inkling of what to expect even before the first round commences. In these situations, the Sage player prioritizes healing their Jett teammate over eliminating enemies themselves or assisting the rest of the team. Additionally, the Sage may even purchase weapons for the Jett player if the duelist is low on funds. This variant of Sage, who always seems to be attached to a specific teammate, is commonly known as a “Pocket Sage.”

A Reddit user named Pereronchino has noticed a specific trend while playing with this agent duo. According to their experience, Jett always performs exceptionally well, whereas Sage seems to lag behind the rest of the team. The user also claims that when this duo is on their team, victory is almost guaranteed. However, when they face off against this duo on the enemy team, they struggle to secure a win. It is worth noting that this phenomenon may occur when the Jett player is smurfing in a lower-ranked lobby, as mentioned in the comments.

Numerous other users have also shared similar experiences of this power duo dominating their matches. However, there is also considerable discussion surrounding their “cringe” names and possible relationship status.

Currently, the most upvoted comment is “I miss her,” which has become somewhat of a meme within the VALORANT community. Other popular duo names include “my kitten”/”my owner” and “Yin”/”Yang.”
