VALORANT marathon leads to temporary ban for Twitch streamer iiTzTimmy

VALORANT Streamer iiTzTimmy Temporarily Banned During Marathon Stream

FPS streamer iiTzTimmy faced a temporary ban while on his road to Radiant during a marathon stream of VALORANT. This ban was issued for smurfing in ranked matches. However, the ban was short-lived and was lifted after seventeen hours into the stream.

iiTzTimmy initially thought the temporary disruption during the stream was a client error. But after closing and reopening the game, he realized that he had been banned “for cheating.”

Within moments of the ban, iiTzTimmy contacted a VALORANT developer whom he had been in touch with before the stream. The developer informed him that his account would indeed be banned, but the ban wasn’t expected to take effect until after the stream ended.

iiTzTimmy explained to his chat that he had been banned for smurfing. He expressed his frustration, stating that he believed he should be able to finish the marathon without being banned. He mentioned that the challenge of going from Iron to Radiant is a gray area, and smurfing falls into a weird category. iiTzTimmy mentioned that his agency will be contacting Riot to address the situation.

Around an hour after the ban was implemented, iiTzTimmy’s account was enabled again, and he resumed his stream. The good news was that the last game from which he was removed did not count on his record.

At the time of writing, iiTzTimmy’s marathon stream is still ongoing, and he is currently placed in Immortal One, not too far from reaching his goal of Radiant.
