VALORANT Game Changers team sparks outrage from community for cheating despite their losses

Noot Noot Disqualified after Cheat Allegations in VALORANT Game Changers Event

Once again, drama and controversy have taken the spotlight at a VALORANT Game Changers event, overshadowing the impressive competition.

In the latest incident, noot noot, an unsigned team that made it to the NA Series Three main event, has been flagged by Riot Anti-Cheat. This happened after a lengthy technical pause during their match against Complexity GX3 on October 5. As a result, noot noot had to forfeit the match, and Riot Competitive Operations launched a full investigation.

The reports of cheating have ignited anger among members of the VALORANT Game Changers community. Some members of the Shopify Rebellion team, who finished second at the global Game Changers Championship last year, openly mocked noot noot for defeating them despite the alleged cheating.

SR’s coach robwiz, who previously received a match ban for an offensive gesture towards C9 White, described the actions of noot noot as “beyond pathetic.”

Speaking of C9 White, noot noot also lost to some former C9 White players who now play for Version1 in the open qualifier. This drew criticism from the Version1 players.

The well-known community figure, Disguised Toast, expressed his displeasure as well. His team was sent to the lower bracket by noot noot on Wednesday, which eventually led to their elimination. He particularly dislikes the idea of investing “over $300k on developing a roster” only to lose to a team that got disqualified for cheating.

Currently, noot noot has been disqualified, and Complexity GX3 is declared the winner. They will continue in the lower bracket.

The results of Riot’s full investigation are still pending.
