VALORANT Game Changers competitor announces transgender identity

ZETA DIVISION Player Comes Out as Transgender in Response to Twitter Backlash

ZETA DIVISION’s player, flappy, has publicly revealed her transgender identity after facing criticism on Twitter.

Entering the VALORANT Game Changers Scene with a Women’s Roster

On July 27, ZETA DIVISION made an announcement stating that they would be joining the VALORANT Game Changers scene with a women’s roster. The team consists of suzu, aco, Movo, romia, and flappy. However, flappy’s gender came under question after the announcement was made on Twitter.

ZETA DIVISION Addresses and Defends Flappy’s Gender

Today, ZETA DIVISION released a statement addressing and defending flappy’s gender. The organization confirmed that flappy identifies as a transgender woman and is following Riot Games’ guidelines by taking the necessary hormones for competing. ZETA DIVISION also emphasized that they had flappy’s permission to share this information, as it was crucial to dispel the rumors surrounding the team.

“Flappy, a member of the VALORANT GC department, which is where the rumor originated, is a transgender woman receiving hormone treatment at a hospital to align her physical self with her gender identity,” stated ZETA DIVISION. “Furthermore, we have obtained a medical certificate from a doctor and verified it in advance.”

Competing in Game Changers Japan Qualifiers

Flappy and ZETA DIVISION will be participating in the Game Changers Japan qualifiers as they strive to secure a spot in the Game Changers East Asia division. By qualifying for the Game Changers East Asia division, ZETA DIVISION will have the opportunity to compete at the Game Changers Champions LAN event in Berlin later this year.
