VALORANT establishes the Americas Players Association with ex-TSM coach in charge

The Formation of VALORANT Professionals Association

After months of behind-the-scenes activity, the players association for VALORANT professionals in the Americas has finally been introduced in collaboration with Riot Games.

The aim of the association, led by former TSM coach turned player agent Taylor “tailored” Broomall, is to protect the players involved in VALORANT and establish a healthy relationship with Riot for the betterment of the esport and job security of the players.

It’s important to note that although the players association works closely with Riot, it is not financially funded by the developer and has no financial ties to Riot.

Formed in August and consisting of around 30 players, the association also receives external support from members of the LCS Players Association.

The association was formed in response to the announcement of a partnership-style format for the VALORANT Champions Tour next year. This major shift from an open format to a franchise-like system raised concerns among the players.

However, the relationship between Riot and the VALORANT Americas PA is described as “healthy.”

With his experience at Prodigy, renowned esports agency representing players like Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, Tailored will lead the project. He has successfully represented several North American pros and facilitated sponsorship activations and positive changes in contracts.

Phil Aram, executive director of the LCSPA, praised Tailored’s dedication to organizing VALORANT players even before the partner program was announced. With the support of the LCSPA, Tailored can now focus on building transformative programs for player rights in the FPS space.
