VALORANT developers have intentions to introduce player punishment notifications

VALORANT to Introduce Notification System for Punishing Offenders

Soon, VALORANT players will have the satisfaction of knowing if their reports against offenders were successful. Paul “Arkem” Chamberlain, the programmer and anti-cheat lead for VALORANT, revealed today that the developers are working on a notification system to inform players when reported offenders receive punishments.

Arkem emphasized the importance of providing feedback to players whose reports lead to punishments. According to a Reddit post, these notifications will appear when reporting players for various “bad behaviors,” including cheating.

Riot Games has already implemented this system in their first title, League of Legends. Whenever a player you reported gets punished, an “instant feedback report” pops up, notifying you that a penalty has been issued to the “unsportsmanlike player.”

Unfortunately, this feature is currently absent in VALORANT, leaving players unaware of whether toxic or hacking offenders face any consequences. Implementing this notification system would enhance players’ trust in the report system and make them feel satisfied with their efforts to combat disruptive behavior.

The exact timeline for implementing this feature remains uncertain. However, Riot Games has outlined plans to address disruptive behavior upon the official launch of VALORANT on June 2. These plans include 72-hour chat or voice restrictions and improved automated analysis. Additionally, Riot Games will introduce an extensive auto-ban system to fight against cheating.

It is possible that the feedback report system will be included when VALORANT launches in a few weeks.
