VALORANT community voices interest in a commendation feature

VALORANT Fans Want Commend System to Reward Positive Players and Expose Toxicity

Teamwork and communication are crucial in VALORANT, especially in ranked matches. Good teammates can greatly influence the outcome of a match and enhance the overall gaming experience. To recognize and reward positive players while deterring toxic behavior, many fans are advocating for the implementation of a commend system similar to those found in games like Overwatch and League of Legends.

Recently, a VALORANT player named Krazy Monqui shared their ideas for a commend system. Their suggestion entails allowing players to commend teammates after a match for good communication, teamwork, and other positive attributes. These commendations would be taken into account by Riot, potentially resulting in players receiving in-game currency as a reward. This system would motivate players to be good teammates and contribute to a positive gaming environment.

Conversely, the lack of commendations for certain players could raise concerns, particularly if they are simultaneously being reported for toxic behavior. A commend system could effectively incentivize good behavior while also helping Riot identify and address players who are negatively impacting the gaming experience.

While it remains uncertain if the developers have plans to introduce a commend system, many players have expressed their support for such a feature. Riot’s upcoming introduction of a voice evaluation system in VALORANT demonstrates their commitment to enhancing the player experience, and a commend system would further contribute to this goal.
