VALORANT Community Raises Impressive Amount of Money for Charity through Skin Purchases

Riot Games Raises Over $4.3 Million for Charity with VALORANT Give Back Bundle

Riot Games has utilized the enthusiasm of VALORANT players for purchasing skins to make a positive impact. The annual Give Back Bundles have successfully raised money for charity, and the recently concluded 2023 bundle has achieved a major milestone.

The 2023 Give Back Bundle, which included the Gaia’s Vengeance Vandal, the Magepunk Sheriff, the Recon Spectre, and the Reaver Guardian, raised over $4.3 million for the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, as announced by Riot.

Over the course of three years, VALORANT players have contributed to raising over $14 million for charity. The 2022 bundle raised over $4.5 million, while the original 2021 bundle raised over $5.5 million.

Although this year’s fundraising total is slightly lower than the previous year, there are factors to consider. The 2021 and 2022 bundles included a Vandal and an Operator, whereas the 2023 bundle only featured a Vandal. Additionally, as more skins have been released over the years, it’s likely that many VALORANT players already have the skins they desire.

Despite this, the amount raised is still impressive. Riot’s Social Impact Fund has been organizing charity events for VALORANT, League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics since 2019, resulting in millions of dollars for charitable organizations worldwide.

Looking ahead, if next year’s Give Back Bundle includes a melee skin, there’s potential for the project to surpass $20 million in total funds raised.
