VALORANT community expresses outrage over ‘appalling’ Radianite micro-transactions strategy by Riot

New Radiant Entertainment Skin Bundle Sparks Debate on Radianite Points

The latest skin bundle in VALORANT has sparked a heated debate over the value of Radianite points in the game’s micro-transaction system. While VALORANT is free to play, gamers are dissatisfied with the overwhelming amount of in-game currency, pushing Riot devs to reassess their business model.

Currently, VALORANT gamers that buy a pricey weapon bundle face an extra barrier. This paywall limits access to specific colors and sounds for a gun that gamers have already paid a significant amount of money for.

On April 25, players congregated on Reddit to condemn the VALORANT micro-transactions, claiming that they are intended to extract further revenue from the fan base. Players agree that they are tired of the “greedy” system and want it modified.

VALORANT has launched six skin packages this year alone, each with a distinct price tag for each weapon. Radianite points provide extra upgrades to a player’s weapon, however many fans stated in the Reddit debate that they are not very interested in the base weapon skins supplied in the bundles.

When you buy the battle pass, you will get some Radianite points, but they are insufficient to upgrade the weaponry you have just bought. As you go through the battle pass, you will gain 30 RP, and each upgrade will cost you between 10 and 15 points.

Players have compared this concept to other games such as Fortnite, where players may earn V-bucks by progressing through battle passes and eventually receiving future passes for free.

The VALORANT weapon bundles can cost up to $120, and players have expressed reservations about them for quite some time.

This issue has sparked outrage in the community, with players pressing the creators to eventually modify the system. Many people believe that VALORANT players will eventually be rewarded for their substantial investment in cosmetic items.
