VALORANT analyst Jovi leaves OpTic Gaming

Jovi Leaves OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT Team

Jovanni “Jovi” Vera announced that he is no longer an analyst for OpTic Gaming’s VALORANT team following their top-three placement at VCT Masters Copenhagen.

Search for a New Team

Just days after their run ended in Copenhagen, Jovi revealed that he will be searching for a team for the Last Chance Qualifier and Champions. In a tweet, he praised the work he was able to produce while the team was away and talked about getting ready for Champions.

A Recap of Jovi’s Journey

Jovi became an analyst for 100 Thieves after playing competitive Rainbow Six for years. He was with 100 Thieves throughout their early success and was with the team when they won First Strike in December of 2020. In 2022, Jovi was promoted to head coach when 100 Thieves released their previous head coach. However, when 100 Thieves struggled to perform, Jovi was one of the many members of the team that was removed and free to explore other options.

Jovi Joins OpTic Gaming

Shortly after being released by 100 Thieves, Jovi was signed by OpTic as an analyst. Jovi began working with the team during Masters Reykjavik and played a contributing role in their championship win. OpTic Gaming continued to perform well in North America and qualified for Masters Copenhagen a few months later. Although they fell short of their success in Iceland, OpTic Gaming secured a third-place finish in Denmark.
