VALORANT analyst initiates donation campaign to commemorate Twisten’s legacy

VALORANT Community Donates to Honor Late Player Twisten

Esports analyst and content creator RyanCentral launched a donation campaign on June 15th to pay tribute to the late Vitality star player, Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener, who passed away on June 6th.

RyanCentral’s Pledge It initiative allows the VALORANT community to donate either a fixed amount or an amount per each Shorty kill at VCT Masters Tokyo. This campaign is inspired by Twisten’s own donation efforts at VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo, where he pledged €25 for each Shorty kill and raised approximately $1,545 after securing 58 Shorty kills.

All funds raised from RyanCentral’s donation campaign will be given to the non-profit organization Rise Above the Disorder (RAD). RAD was established in 2012 and is dedicated to making mental health care accessible and affordable for everyone.

In addition to the donation based on Shorty kills, this initiative pays tribute to Twisten’s legacy as he openly discussed his ongoing battle with depression around the time of VCT LOCK//IN. It serves as a reminder to fans that mental health struggles can affect anyone.

The number of Shorty kills at VCT Masters Tokyo remains uncertain, as the event continues until June 25th. However, given the current kill count (24), this Japanese event has the potential to surpass the record set during VCT LOCK//IN (58). This presents an opportunity for the VALORANT community to raise an unprecedented amount for charity.

With 16 matches remaining at VCT Masters Tokyo, you can support RyanCentral’s initiative by visiting this link.
