Unbelievable Trick Shot by Jamppi in What is Considered the Greatest VALORANT Round

Team Liquid’s Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen Makes Incredible Play to Win Round in VALORANT

In the world of VALORANT, absurdity can take many forms. However, a recent round played by Team Liquid star Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen on the map Bind may just take the prize for the most unbelievable way to win a round.

Jamppi, a former Counter-Strike pro turned VALORANT player, found himself in an 11-5 lead on Bind. Despite not needing a big play to get his team back into the game, the Finnish rifler delivered an impressive performance with three amazing kills while streaming.

Playing as Brimstone, Jamppi quickly lined up an Incendiary grenade and threw it while jumping before starting the retake through Hookah. He landed a precise headshot on the opposing Viper, initiating the retake, which needed to speed up due to Viper’s Snake Bite ability delaying the push onto site B.

Now in a two-versus-two situation, the chaos ensued. Jamppi’s Incendiary grenade successfully hit the bombsite, burning the Raze and leaving the Brimstone attacker alone. However, the Brimstone had a trick up his sleeve with his ultimate ability, Orbital Strike.

After dropping a smoke and using his ultimate, and with the clock ticking down, Jamppi had to jump out of Hookah onto the site and quickly locate the Brimstone. Before doing so, he executed a 360-degree turn and blindly fired his Vandal while midair.

His first shot landed on Brimstone’s head, sealing the round in his team’s favor.

An important takeaway from this round is the significance of utility lineups and knowing them well in VALORANT. Holding onto utility for the late round rather than using it early can be a tactical advantage, and mastering key lineups is crucial for success, especially when defending and retaking a lost bombsite.

Apart from the importance of utility lineups for each agent, the key lesson from this clip is that you miss every shot you don’t take.

Perhaps Jamppi should consider trying a few 360-no scope-jumping Vandal shots when the VCT 2024 rolls around next February. Team Liquid will be looking to make a strong comeback after a disappointing exit in Los Angeles to end the year.
