Turtle Troop Bolsters NA VALORANT Challengers Roster with Two Experienced Players for Week Three

Turtle Troop Adds TiGG and mummAy to Roster Ahead of Week Three Matchup

The Turtle Troop VALORANT roster competing in the NA Challengers League has made two new signings after releasing two players last week. Tanner “TiGG” Spanu and Anthony “mummAy” DiPaolo have joined the team, which already consists of Jack “Add3r” Hayashi, Peter “Governor” No, and Matthew “Wedid” Suchan. This new lineup will be facing BreakThru in their week three matchup.

The start of Challengers has been a struggle for the Turtle Troop team, who qualified as Squirtle Squad through open qualifiers. In their first week, they suffered a 13-2 loss to Shopify Rebellion on Fracture and were defeated on Bind. Week two saw them redeem themselves with a victory on Fracture against FaZe, but then they lost on Pearl and Ascent, putting them at 0-2 in the standings.

Following this disappointing start, the majority of the roster decided to make some changes and released Anthony “Okeanos” Nguyen and Mohammed “Harmful” Choudhary. The official Turtle Troop team did not make any official announcements during this time, but the players themselves revealed the news before the signing of TiGG and mummAy.

TiGG most recently played with The Nation, a team that narrowly missed out on qualifying for the NA Challengers League. Prior to that, he competed for Shopify Rebellion, Luminosity, and beastcoast.

mummAy is returning to active competition after a year of inactivity. He was previously part of the “together we are terrific” roster under FNS’s leadership, which was signed by Envy in 2020. mummAy competed with Envy for over a year alongside FNS, crashies, and Victor, but was benched in August 2021 when yay joined the team.

Turtle Troop will be facing off against BreakThru in week three on February 27th at 6pm CT.
