TSM Contemplates Roster Changes and Relocation to Austin, TX Following VCT Stage 1 Disappointment

TSM’s VALORANT Lineup Undergoes Changes and Relocates to Austin, Texas

TSM’s VALORANT team is set to make some adjustments to its roster and move their operations to Austin, Texas. This decision was announced by TSM VP of Esports, Dominic Kallas, in response to their elimination from the VCT Stage One.

TSM’s VALORANT roster faced disappointment in both open qualifiers for the VCT NA Stage One Challengers main event, resulting in their exclusion from the remainder of the first stage. The team’s final loss was against Built By Gamers, who had Sean “bang” Bezerra from TSM’s bench.

During the open qualifiers, TSM was defeated in their initial series of the double-elimination bracket by Knights, and in the second qualifier, they lost to Ghost Gaming. They experienced 2-0 losses in both lower brackets against Akrew and BBG.

In a social media update the following day after their elimination, Kallas acknowledged the team’s shortcomings and highlighted the need for significant changes. He went on to outline some of the modifications that will be made.

Firstly, the team’s general manager will now have complete authority over roster decisions, including determining the most skilled, motivated, coachable players who are the best fit for the team’s future. Kallas refers to this as a “process” and suggests that the team may undergo some changes.

Regardless of potential roster adjustments, TSM will be relocating to Austin, Texas, in order to create a centralized location where they hope to enhance teamwork through a culture reset. They also plan to participate in every possible open event before the start of the second stage of VCT, which is expected to be in May.
