Top Neon Lineups in VALORANT: Mastering Relay Bolt Stuns and Fast Lane Walls

Best Neon Lineups in VALORANT

In VALORANT, Neon may not be the first agent that comes to mind when thinking of lineups. However, with her bouncing stun and long wall of smokes, there are some surprising setups that can catch enemies off-guard. Here are some of the best Neon lineups for the Relay Bolt and Fast Lane abilities on the current rotation of Neon maps as of September 2023.

Ascent

Ascent is a heavily defense-sided map, but Neon’s Fast Lane and Relay Bolt abilities can punish players who try to engage in close battles on both sites. For attackers, using the Relay Bolt helps with easy entry into choke points and potentially sniping enemies hiding in corners. On defense, Relay Bolts can be aimed at chokes to stop rush attempts. Fast Lanes on defense can be used to gain space and prevent attackers from gaining mid information.

Bind

Bind is a map with only two sites and plenty of close-range areas, making it ideal for Neon. On attack, the Relay Bolt can punish enemy duelists and help with site entry. Fast Lanes can split the site in half and block off hiding spots for easy kills. On defense, Relay Bolts can prevent quick pushes from opponents, while Fast Lanes are less useful outside of the middle of the map.

Breeze

Breeze offers fewer lineup locations for Neon’s Relay Bolt, but her Fast Lane can be more useful due to the open areas of the map. Stuns are easier to land for defense, while Fast Lanes on attack help to get the team onto sites. Fast Lanes on defense are ideal for retakes, and Relay Bolts can be used to stop aggression or get value from bouncing stuns.

Lotus

Lotus is the best Neon map, with a mix of close-range zones for Relay Bolts and open areas for Fast Lanes. On attack, stuns can secure angles on all three sites, and Fast Lanes help with quick plants and preventing defuses. On defense, controlling the wide area ahead of the A site is crucial, and the combo of wall and stun can shut down opponents’ pushes. Neon’s ability to play fast is essential on all three sites.
