TikTok influencer confesses to fabricating ‘Mage’ leaks in VALORANT

TikToker Claims to Create Leaks for New VALORANT Agent

A TikToker, known as “Valoleakr,” recently caused a stir in the VALORANT community by supposedly creating leaks for a new agent.

TikTok user “Valoleakr” uploaded a video titled “How I trolled the whole VALORANT community,” where he explained how he fabricated a screenshot that quickly went viral. The screenshot depicted a new VALORANT agent named Mage.

According to Valoleakr, he created the icons by taking inspiration from other abilities in the game. He then used Cypher as a test subject to create a template for the ability descriptions in-game, and removed the text.

Valoleakr claimed that he used his phone to compile the final image after removing Cypher’s character model and posted it on Reddit. The post quickly gained traction, amassing over half a million views within the first hour.

The Reddit post has gained over 3,000 upvotes and more than 500 comments, making it one of the most popular posts on the VALORANT subreddit for the month.

However, some have speculated that Valoleakr may have actually leaked a genuine video and the whole situation is a double bluff. There are arguments that the agent leak might be real and could potentially be introduced to the game in the future.

Riot has not yet released any information about the next agent in VALORANT, but it is expected to launch later this year. It is anticipated that the next agent will be a Controller, as there are currently four agents in that category, with the most recent addition being Astra in March 2021.

The latest VALORANT agent, Fade, was introduced in April of this year.
