These are the 8 VALORANT teams progressing to VCT NA Challengers One

VALORANT Champions Tour for North America: The Qualified Teams for VCT NA Challengers One

The recent VALORANT Champions Tour for North America has concluded, and the top teams have emerged after a grueling single-elimination knockout bracket. Out of over 120 registered teams, only eight remain to compete in the first NA Challengers weekend. What’s interesting is that five out of these eight teams did not participate in the First Strike main event, which showcases the depth of talent in the North American region.

Sentinels: A Familiar Team

Sentinels is a well-known team in the North American competitive VALORANT scene. They have had a fierce rivalry with TSM and were considered heavy favorites prior to First Strike. However, they unexpectedly fell in the semifinals to 100T. In the qualifier, Sentinels defeated Built By Gamers 2-0, with former CS:GO pro Hunter “SicK” Mims emerging as a rising star and delivering impressive performances.

Team Envy: Adapting and Succeeding

Team Envy, another team comprising CS:GO veterans, secured their spot in Challengers after a win over Equinox Esports. Envy has made some agent selection changes, with players like Jake “kaboose” McDonald experimenting with Omen, and their performances have been positive. They didn’t drop a single map in the qualifier run, and they are determined to continue their winning streak in the first Challengers weekend.

Gen.G: Missed Opportunities Turned into Success

Gen.G is considered one of the best teams that narrowly missed out on First Strike. They were highly ranked going into the qualifiers but suffered losses to T1 and FaZe Clan. However, they defeated Renegades to qualify for Challengers while T1 and FaZe fell short. Gen.G made some roster changes and the addition of Shawn O’Riley and former Gen.G CS:GO player Kenneth “koosta” Suen has proven to be impactful, with Shawn delivering outstanding performances in recent matches.

NRG, XSET, Immortals, Luminosity, and Andbox: Teams on the Rise

NRG arrived late to the VALORANT scene but quickly adapted, adding former Gen.G CS:GO players to their roster. They defeated Carpe Noctem to qualify for Challengers, and their new roster is already showing promising results. XSET, a new organization in esports, has also made a strong entrance into VALORANT and earned their spot in Challengers after a victory over TSM in a tough series. Immortals, Luminosity, and Andbox have also secured their spots and are looking to continue their winning streaks.

The qualified teams for VCT NA Challengers One are Sentinels, Team Envy, Gen.G, NRG, XSET, Immortals, Luminosity, and Andbox. These teams will now compete to claim the North American throne in the upcoming Challengers weekend.
